The Chandler Compadres were established in 1980 as a non-profit organization with the sole mission of providing support for East Valley families in need. The group started with fewer than 20 members and now has over 100 active and life members. The Chandler Compadres donate their time, resources, talents and money to help disadvantaged kids in Chandler and the east valley. Compadre members are civic-minded business and community leaders in industries which currently include agriculture, information technology, engineering, grocery, banking, law, advertising, real estate, small business and government.
The Chandler Compadres consists of a maximum of 40 active members and over 60 life members. Members meet once monthly, and are required to meet yearly financial fundraising goals through a variety of events including Rock the Cause for Kids, the Compadre Golf Classic and the Arizona Charitable Organization Tax Credit Program. Membership in the Chandler Compadres requires an active or life member sponsor and approval by the Compadre board and full membership. The Compadre membership includes notable community members and business leaders including former Chandler Mayor Jim Patterson, Michael Basha of Bashas’ Grocery and John Chapman of Chapman Chevrolet.
Ryan Foster is the Chandler Compadres President for the 2017-2018 fiscal year. Ryan is the Founder of Sepio Systems located in Chandler, Arizona. Sepio Systems provides Cloud Integration and Mobile Software Services to their clients. Ryan has been a Business Owner in the Chandler community since 2003. Ryan is also a Native Arizonan and was born in Tempe, Arizona. Ryan earned a BA in Education from Northern Arizona University in 1993. Ryan was also an Elementary School Teacher for 4 years in the Tempe School District before moving to the Software Industry in 1997. Ryan and his fiance, Amber, live in Chandler with their 5 children – Taryn and Torri, a Junior and Sophomore at Arizona College Prep – Erie, Christian, a Sophomore at Basha High School, Maverick, a 6th grader at SanTan Elementary School and Taylor, a 4th grader at CTA Independence in Chandler. Ryan is actively involved in the community having been a member of the Chandler Compadres since 2008 while serving on the board in 2010, 2015 and 2016.
